Announcing a new partnership with Women Working Worldwide

THIRST is delighted to announce a three-year partnership with Women Working Worldwide (WWW). Together, through our joint programme Dignity for Women in Tea, we are combining our expertise, networks, and long-standing commitment to women’s rights to:

  • Support women working in the tea industry to be recognised, valued, and heard.
  • Help the industry to make real progress towards gender equity at every level.
  • Provide evidence that strengthens the case for policy reforms and better conditions for women in tea.

WWW and THIRST have successfully collaborated in the past on initiatives such as ‘Consent…’, our joint briefing paper on the risk factors for gender-based violence in the tea sector, and as part of Typhoo’s Fear Free Council. The sector has told us how much this work has been valued. Now, by formally joining forces, we can drive even greater progress for women across the tea value chain.

Buyers, retailers, NGOs, local CSOs and policy makers, to explore how we can help you tackle gender issues in your part of the supply chain, please contact us now.Write your post content here
