THIRST is proud to present our latest Annual Report layout, our activities and achievements over the past year. It’s been a year of growth and transition in which we’ve moved beyond identifying problems towards helping develop practical solutions, strengthening partnerships and building the organisation needed to deliver impact. We’ve established partnerships with Women Working Worldwide and the Circle of Tea and strengthened our own governance and capacity.

THIRST on W Europe Business & Human Rights panel

THIRST’s CEO, Sabita Banerji, will be taking part in a panel discussion on “Accompanying Measures for EU External Action” at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on Friday 18th September, 11:30-12:50pm. She will be giving the perspective of tea suppliers, workers, farmers and their communities. Please do come and say hello if you are planning to attend. The report looks at how rising temperatures, unpredictable rainfall and extreme weather are affecting tea production, quality, prices and the livelihoods of workers and smallholder farmers. It calls for fairer prices, more funding to help producers adapt and stronger protections for tea workers.
